Missile Falls On Residence Building In Belgorod: Experts Speak About Lies Of Russians

There are five signs that the missile was Russian.

Several military analysts immediately questioned the official version of the reasons for the collapse of the entrance to a residential ten-story building in Belgorod. The Russian MoD reported a fragment of the Ukrainian Tochka-U missile shot down by Russian air defense hit the high-rise building. However, experts came to the conclusion that the picture of destruction is not typical for this version, the Agency writes.

The video of the explosion from the south-west side does not show the fall of the missile This was pointed out, in particular, by OSINT analyst Oliver Alexander. In his opinion, this is due to the fact that the only video of the shell hit was shot by a camera that "looks at the south-west side of the building, and the explosion was probably caused by the failure of the Russian glide bomb that fell on the northeast side."

Damage to cars and garages on the northeast side of the house. Alexander also drew attention to the fact that the garages and cars in front of the house were severely damaged on the northeast side of the building. "Similar damage could have been expected after the glide bomb hit the lower floors of the building," he added.

Broken glass from the northeastern part of the house. The Belgorod edition Pepel ("Ashes") wrote that from the north-eastern part of the building there was not a single whole window left, unlike the south-western one.

Burned areas of the house. Military analyst Yan Matveev noted that charred areas are visible on the facade of the building from the northeastern part. “The main explosion was there,” he concluded.

No trace of shrapnel. Matveev also drew attention to the fact that at the site of the explosion there are no traces of the impact of the damaging elements, which during the explosion of the missile from the Tochka-U flew in the open space to a distance of 3 hectares. Since the Russian air defence missile can also scatter shrapnel, the absence of its traces may indicate an explosion of an air bomb, the analyst explained to the Agency. At the same time, he admitted that traces of damaging elements may not be visible due to blockages. This was also pointed out by the co-founder of the Conflict Intelligence Team Ruslan Leviev.

What kind of projectile could fall? In a military summary on Michael Nucky's YouTube channel, Leviev said that it is impossible to establish for sure whose ammunition destroyed the house, "however, most likely, this happened due to the actions of the Russian side."

According to Leviev, the most obvious version of what happened is the hit of a Russian anti-aircraft guided missile (for example, from the S-300 system). He called another "rather obvious version" an abnormal descent of the FAB-250 or FAB-500 air bomb from the UMPK (universal planning and correction module – the Agency). "There are frequent cases of air bombs falling on Belgorod and the region. This version is supported by the fact that shortly before the explosion, it was reported about the launch of gliding bombs in the Kharkiv region," Leviev added.

Only on the night of May 13, two bombs fell in the village of Razumnoye in the Belgorod region. The Pepel edition published photos from the ammunition crash sites and testimonies of local residents. Only by lunchtime, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported the "fall of explosive objects" in Razumnoye and the evacuation of residents of nearby houses.

As military analyst Kirill Mikhailov explained to the Agency, the non-standard approach is typical for aerial planning bombs, which are most often used with the Su-34 fighter-bombers. The abnormal actuation occurs due to the design issues. "In the event of an emergency ammunition descent, the wings of the module do not open, and the bomb freely falls down. Sometimes it detonates at the same time,” he added.

How did Russia confirm the official version? Officially, the wreckage of the rocket that fell on the house is not shown. Telegram channel Mash published a video with "fragments of, presumably, the Ukrainian Tochka-U, which are found within a radius of 200 meters from the place of the incident in Belgorod." Commenting on it, the Ukrainian telegram channel Colonel GSh wrote that in the video the fragments of the S-300/S-400 missile. Kirill Mikhailov told the Agency that the fragments really look like fragments of an S-300/S-400 missile. But they may not be related to the ammunition that blew up the house, Mikhailov said.
