Visiting Forests Restricted Almost Throughout Entire Belarusian Territory

You can freely go to the forests only in 18 out of 118 districts of the country.

Visiting forests has been restricted almost throughout the whole territory of Belarus. Forests can be freely visited only in 18 out of 118 districts of Belarus, indicates the interactive map on the website of the Forest Ministry.

These are Beshankovichy, Braslau, Vitsebsk, Dubrova, Liozna, Miory, Vorsha, Talochyn, Ushachy and Shumilina districts of Vitsebsk region, as well as Horki, Drybina, Klimavichy, Kastsiukovichy, Krasnapolle, Krychau, Mstsislauye and Khatsimsk districts of Mahiliou region.

It is forbidden to go to the forests in 14 districts of the country: Kobryn, Zhabinka, Brest, Pruzhany, Ivanava, Kamianets, Malaryta and Pinsk districts in Brest region; Voranava, Dziatlava, Lida, Shchuchyn and Masty districts in Hrodna region; Staubty district in Minsk region.

The forest visiting is restricted in the remaining districts.

In case of restriction (yellow level of fire danger), forests can be visited, but not by motor vehicles and without making fires. In case of a ban (red level), it is forbidden to go to the forest.

Introducing restrictions and bans is the responsibility of district executive committees. Each district applies its own restrictive measures (visiting time, entry by vehicles, certain areas of the forest fund).

According to weather forecasts, the air will warm up to 20 degrees Celsius in the southern part of Belarus on May 15.
