New Video Of Tuapse Oil Refinery Attack: Damage Was Much More Serious

The most important unit has been disabled.

A new video of a Ukrainian drone attack on the Tuapse Oil Refinery on the morning of May 17 has leaked online.

Judging by it, the consequences of the attack could be much more serious than previously thought.

An eyewitness filmed a Ukrainian drone approaching the refinery quite slowly and without interference and attacking it. The camera recorded the repeated hit, since the plant was already burning heavily at that moment.

“Slowly, comfortably. That was great accuracy. You can literally choose a specific point and take out the most critical parts of factories and stations,” military observer Yigal Levin commented on the video.

Reuters claims that the Tuapse oil refinery urgently stopped working after the drone strike.

Journalists, based on footage of the attack, speculated that the attack was on a liquefied natural gas plant rather than a more important crude oil processing plant.

“There was no black smoke during the fire. This means that only gas was burning,” the article said.

However, the new video clearly shows that after the repeated attack, it was black smoke that began pouring out of the plant. That is, there is a high possibility of damage to a crude oil refining unit that is critical for production. If it is disabled, the refinery will not be able to operate for at least several months.
