Workers At Agricultural Company Near Braslau Earned Less Than Minimum Wages DuringYear

'They did not punish the management.'

One of the agricultural enterprises in the Braslau district of the Vitebsk region paid several employees a salary below the minimum wage for a whole year. This was revealed allegedly during an inspection conducted by employees of the Department of State Labor Control Service.

The Ministry of Labor reported on Telegram:

"In the course of supervisory activities, it was found out that 11 employees of the enterprise were not paid compensations to their pay checks for January-December 2023 to reach the minimum wage level."

The inspectors demanded that the management of the enterprise eliminate the violations. As a result, 11 employees were paid compensations to the minimum wage in the total amount of 1.670 rubles.

It should be added that from January 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Belarus is 626 rubles.

Since the management of the company eliminated the violations before the deadline, they escaped punishment.
