IDF Officer: Ukraine Demonstrating To West Kremlin's Bluff

The Americans see that the Ukrainian armed forces are safely crossing all red lines.

Israeli military observer and IDF officer Yigal Levin told Radio NV what the Ukrainian drone strike on the Voronezh M long-range target detection radar station in Orsk in Russia's Orenburg region means.

He outlined the significance of the radar station.

"Firstly, these targets are of strategic importance, something that has an effect on the national security of the entire state. <...> They are designed to detect ballistic cruise missiles, for example nuclear missiles, [it is] part of the anti-nuclear shield. If something flies at Russia, the evil Americans have launched it, [radars should] detect it in the first place," Levin said.

Levin emphasised that the matter concerns "punching holes in Russia's nuclear shield", of which the radars are a part, and this is very strong. He explained that Moscow implied that it would not be hit, so that's why such facilities are vulnerable:

"So it's such a huge (have seen the picture) structure standing there, which is very hard to miss, and it's not something you can camouflage, hide. In order to defend it, you have to set up three levels, a huge amount of air defence [put] up. And again, if you shoot down five drones, 20 will come, if you shoot down 20, 100 will come, and something will be hit, because it's hard not to hit something that big. And the implication is that they won't work on it, because when they do, it's already a nuclear war. And Ukraine completely breaks all this paradigm: it just takes it and smashes it out, and there is no nuclear war."

He explained what this testifies to:

"Ukraine is demonstrating to the West that all the [Russian] nuclear blackmail and red lines are just bluffs. The Americans see that, look, they are smashing these stations - Voronezh - and Russia is doing nothing."

On May 26, Russian Telegram channels reported that a Ukrainian drone "fell" near Orsk. It was noted that the target of the drone may have been a military facility. At the same time, the Russians allegedly had no casualties or fatalities, as well as damage to infrastructure, as usual.
