A large-scale fire was visible from satellite.

On May 31, the Ukrainian defense forces, together with the SSU, carried out a successful operation to destroy the logistics infrastructure that supports Russian troops in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Focus sources in the Ukrainian special services spoke about this.

A comprehensive blow was dealt to substations, power supply networks and reserves of light petroleum products in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation.

Governor of the Russian region Veniamin Kondratyev claimed that drones attacked an oil depot and damaged three tanks with oil products. According to the official, the UAVs attacked several settlements in the Krasnodar Territory, and Novorossiysk was also hit.

The publication’s interlocutors clarify that first the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a missile attack on two ferries that were traveling to the port of Caucasus and were used for the aggressor’s military logistics. Then the SSU drones hit substations supplying electricity to the Crimean Peninsula and the waters of the Kerch Strait, including ports, the publication’s interlocutors specify.

Tonight, the SBU, together with the Navy, hit the oil transshipment depot in the seaport of Kavkaz, from which light oil products were supplied to the Crimea. After effective work, a large-scale fire broke out, the fire was visible from the satellite, the special service noted.

According to media reports, the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar Territory was struck by eight Ukrainian RK-360MTs Neptune missiles. All the shells reached the target at about two o'clock in the morning, but the Russian air defense systems were unable to cope with the task. All mechanisms responsible for loading military trains onto ferries have been disabled.
