Spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk commented on the strike on the barge and tugboat of the Russian occupiers in the Sea of Azov.

As he emphasized on the air of the telethon, it cannot be ruled out that the strike on the ships could have been carried out by the occupiers themselves.

“Now, from the position of the Navy, I can say the following motto: “It was not us.” So far, we are not aware of any use on our part. Nothing like that has happened. Therefore, I cannot comment on this. I do not have such information yet,” the Navy representative said.

At the same time, the interlocutor did not rule out that the Russians could have tested sea drones, “which they boast about, that they have them and they will definitely use them.”

“You know, friendly fire is a normal practice for them. Last time the Northern Fleet conducted the same training, they destroyed a fishing trawler with a missile. And this is completely acceptable for them in principle. Therefore, I admit the possibility that this was a similar incident,” Pletenchuk added.
