He wasn't beaten with sticks, but he was driven into a corner.
The head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is extremely indignant that the West has consolidated because of Russian aggression.
Sergei Aslanian, host of the Khodorkovsky Live channel, told «24 Каналу» that Putin's statements have a very interesting peculiarity. He can say prepared things or improvise, but the result is the same: he still looks like a fool.
As Aslanian noted, Putin now literally does not know what to do. He looks like a ‘thug’ who is threatening to take up the ‘big knuckles’. The dictator is extremely unhappy with the West's consolidation against him.
‘He has always wanted Ukraine to be left alone. For him, any supply of weapons; assistance to refugees; assistance to the wounded and, in general, any Western assistance is unacceptable,’ Aslanian said.
For him, the situation in which the civilised world has coordinated against him and started supporting Ukraine is insulting. It is important for Putin, like many Russians, to be ‘patted on the head’ abroad. Now that's not happening.
‘He cares about encouragement; ‘patting‘ on the shoulder. When he goes to see the American president, the French prime minister and so forth. And here he's been driven into a corner. Not beaten with sticks, but shown to be weak. Everyone is against him. And for him it is the greatest moral trauma,’ Aslanian believes.
