Chinese leader Xi Jinping has promised that his country will not provide Russia with weapons for the war against Ukraine.

"I had a telephone conversation with the leader of China, then he said that he would not give weapons to Russia. If he is a respected man, he will not do it, because he has given me his word," Zelensky emphasised.
