Ammunition of the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system exploded in Shebekino, Belgorod Region, on June 13. As a result, three Russian servicemen were killed, ASTRA reports, citing sources in the region's emergency services.

“The night before, on June 13, a powerful explosion was heard in Shebekino, Belgorod Region, and local media reported that a Russian bomb could have fallen on the city. Later, the governor wrote that “an explosion occurred on the outskirts of the city of Shebekino. The causes of the incident are being established”. According to him, no one was hurt, and damage to 10 private homes and one car is known,” the report says.

At the same time, sources reported that ammunition of the Russian Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system exploded in the suburbs of Shebekino:

“At least three Russian servicemen were killed as a result of the explosion. The causes of the explosion are unknown, but, according to preliminary data, it was “self-induced”.
