On social media, they laugh at the Russian submarine Kazan, which entered the port of the Cuban capital Havana yesterday afternoon.
In the published images, military experts noticed that the submarine was falling apart at the seams, dialog.ua reports.
The footage shows that the anechoic tiles simply fell off, and, apparently, no one intends to fix them. Anechoic tiles are soundproof rubber or synthetic polymer panels that insulate the submarine body while underwater. They are used on submarines to reduce their acoustic visibility.
These tiles are made of rubber-like materials with the inclusion of special fillers that absorb and scatter sound waves.
They reduce the number of reflected sound signals, making the submarine less visible to passive sonar, which picks up reflected sounds and plays an important role in increasing the stealth of submarines and their survivability in combat.
