Illegal Migrants Attack Polish Border Guards With Logs

A group of illegal immigrants was stopped by Polish border guards when attempting to break through the Polish border. Approximately 70 people tried to cross the border river Peravaloka on the afternoon of June 19, but were forced to retreat after the intervention of Polish security services.

According to reports from the Polish Border Guard, the incident occurred around 3:00 pm when illegal immigrants, attempting to cross the border, began throwing logs and stones towards patrolling Polish officers. Through the joint efforts of border guards, military and police, the illegal crossing was prevented, and the migrants retreated back to Belarus.

Later that day, at around 10:30 p.m., another group of illegal immigrants attempted to cross the border. It is noted that their behavior was aggressive and they threw stones in the direction of Polish patrols. This attempt was also repelled and no one was injured in either incident.
