Political Analyst: Threat To Close Border Causes Hysteria In Minsk, Moscow

Lavrov and Aleinik got nervous.

Political analyst Dzmitry Balkunets has drawn attention to the nervous reaction of Russia and the Lukashenka regime to the possible closing of the Polish-Belarusian border:

- The threat to close the border has caused hysteria in Minsk and Moscow.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: I think that when they rush "from the frypan into the fire", from one extreme to another, it is explained by that they are guided not by the fundamental interests of their people (in this case, the Polish people), but by their opportunistic, domestic political considerations on the eve of the next or immediately after the elections. We are used to it.

Foreign Minister of Belarus Aleinik: the latest statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland are in complete dissonance with the statements that he made a few weeks ago, proposing to open additional checkpoints. Unfortunately, these are the political realities of Poland's rhetoric today. These calls, of course, lead to escalation. They reflect the ultimatum nature of building relations with partners.

We remind you that Polish President Andrzej Duda, who is on a visit to China, warned Xi Jinping about the possible blocking of the border with Belarus.
