Lukashenka Appoints New Head Of Administration, Ministers Of Foreign Affairs And Agriculture, Ambassador To Russia

Dictator Lukashenka made a number of personnel appointments today, his press service reports.

Dzmitry Kruty, until recently the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, has become the new head of Aliaksandr Lukashenka's administration. Natallia Piatkevich, who worked as Lukashenka's press secretary in the early 2000s, then held the post of deputy head of the administration, will be Kruty's first deputy.

Siarhei Aleinik is no longer the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Lukashenka appointed Maksim Ryzhankou, who was the first deputy head of Lukashenka's administration, to his position. Aleinik headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since December 2022 after the death of his predecessor Uladzimir Makei.

The Ministry of Agriculture also has a new head. Siarhei Bartosh, who has been the minister since August 2023, has resigned. His place will be taken by Aliaksandr Linevich, who worked in the Vitsebsk Regional Executive Committee.

In addition, Lukashenka has appointed a new ambassador of Belarus to Russia. Dzmitry Kruty will be replaced by Aliaksandr Rahozhnik.
