Zelensky In Brussels: Belarusians Are A European Nation

Our country's place is in the EU.

Belarus must begin negotiations on joining the European Union after liberation from de facto Russian occupation. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on June 27 during his speech at the opening of the EU summit in Brussels, writes European Pravda.

Zelensky thanked his European partners for starting negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union, which took place on June 25 in Luxembourg, and also congratulated Moldova, which also received EU consent and began accession negotiations.

“I am convinced that every European nation that shares common European values should be part of the European family. This is true for Ukraine. This is true for Moldova, the Balkans, Georgia. I am sure that Georgia's moment will come, and I am sure that decisions will be made regarding Belarus, because it is also a European nation that should be in a united Europe in the future,” Zelensky said.
