The new position is connected with the need for treatment.
Valeriy Kondratyuk, the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the former head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the former chief of the counterintelligence department of the SSU said in an interview with Editor-in-Chief of the publication “GORDON” Alesya Batsman that the former secretary of the Security Council of the aggressor country Russia Nikolai Patrushev is experiencing health problems.
Kondratyuk does not consider the transfer of the former secretary of the Security Council of the occupying country of the Russian Federation to a new position a sign of Patrushev's political weakening.
“This does not mean that Patrushev has fallen into disgrace, as many analysts have begun to believe. In fact, everything fits in with the fact that Patrushev is a physically very sick person. He is being treated, he is struggling,” the former Ukrainian intelligence officer noted.
The former head of the Defense Intelligence believes that the volume of tasks that Patrushev previously handled is now beyond his capabilities.
“This is due to the need to move, relocate, and carry out some things. Patrushev received the position of presidential aide. That is, this allows him to have a more flexible schedule, which is necessary for treatment,” Kondratyuk believes.
According to the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, the confirmation that Patrushev remains an influential figure in the Kremlin is the further advancement of his son up the Russian career ladder.
