‘Lukashenka's Regime May Collapse For Reason No One Expects’

The dictator has lost.

Famous artist and designer Uladzimir Tsesler has explained why he realised that Lukashenka's regime had lost:

- I have never gone to elections in my life. I went for the first time in 2020. What I saw then, what was happening in the streets - I thought it was a horror film. I couldn't imagine it would be so violent.

I met young guys and discovered a whole layer to myself. It shook me up. It was two o'clock in the morning, and they said: ‘We should go to the shop, buy food and water, and then we'll go to Zhodzina to meet the people who are being released from prison. They don't know them, but they say they should take them to Minsk. This is a new generation with a different consciousness.

Why did I realise that that's it, that Lukashenka has lost? That what has risen is not his electorate any more.

Young people came out, they were beaten, then their parents came out. They started to grab them too, then the pensioners came out. Everyone came out.

The designer also gave his prediction for the future:

- Something may happen: just as the Soviet Union suddenly collapsed. It could happen here too, for a reason that no one expects.
