Bild: AFU Launch Offensive, Knock Russians Out Of Village Near Chasiv Yar

The Ukrainian military has regained control over Kalynivka.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have successfully counterattacked and recaptured the village of Kalynivka north of Chasiv Yar from Russian troops. This is reported by Bild analyst Julian Repke.

The analysis notes that the Russian army is using double strike tactics in its offensive on Chasiv Yar west of Bakhmut. The Russian Armed Forces are directly attacking the Kanal microdistrict in the east of the town, as well as outflanking it.

Bild reminds that in late April, the Russian occupiers advanced in the south and reached the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal. In the north, they recently captured the village of Kalynivka and also reached the canal. At the same time, the Kanal microdistrict is completely destroyed, but remains in the hands of Ukrainian defenders.

However, as Bild writes, the other day the AFU successfully counterattacked and recaptured Kalynivka.

‘Ukrainian troops have recaptured most of Kalynivka and pushed back the Russian occupiers from the canal near Chasiv Yar,’ the report says.
