14 Kilometers Long Line Of Trucks: Situation On Belarusian-Polish Border

The movement practically stopped.

Belarusian customs announced yesterday, July 10, that Poland has closed the entry for Belarusian trucks through the Kukuryki-Kazlovichy border crossing. Please note that this is the only checkpoint for freight transport.

Later, Poland denied the statement of the Belarusian side that the border was closed but made it clear that it had introduced an unofficial ban – significantly limiting the passage of trucks from Belarus.

This was stated at a press conference on July 10 by the official representative of the Lublin branch of the tax office, Michał Derus, writes RMF24.

Derus explained that the Polish side is monitoring goods in connection with the entry into force of new EU sanctions.

“The Customs and Fiscal Service checks transported goods for compliance with current Polish and European standards, which affects the number of trucks processed at the Kukuryki-Kazlovichy cargo border crossing with a terminal in Koroszczyn and at the passenger border crossing in Terespol,” Derus said.

It is worth noting that yesterday, when the Belarusian side announced the “closure of the crossing,” about 600 trucks were waiting to enter Poland. Today the queue has grown. At the time of writing, 800 trucks were waiting to leave Belarus.
