Sum Lukashists Received For Ex-McDonald's 'Expropriated' From Private Owner Becomes Known

The restaurants have a new owner.

The new owner of ex-McDonald's fast-food restaurants - the company "Quolity Food" - bought out 13 public catering facilities for $20.2 million. Moreover, the restaurants were purchased from the State Property Committee. This information is contained in a new report of the Colliers company on the situation in the property market in Minsk, writes Zerkalo.

According to the report, 13 objects of Mak.by network were bought. Their total area is 11.6 thousand square metres.

As follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, now 100% of the company is in the hands of the Quality Food firm. In turn, 90% of this company is owned by Belarusian dairy magnate Aliaksei Sauchuk. Viktoryja Danko received 10% of shares in the new firm, which means that she essentially retained the same stake in MAK.by as she had in ex-McDonald's.

We note that on November 11, 2022, it became known that McDonald's was leaving the Belarusian market. Its place was going to be taken by the Russian "It's Delicious - Period" fast food chain.
