Head of Lukashenka's administration Dzmitry Kruty arrived on a “working” visit to the Homel region, which seriously suffered from the hurricane. However, the official's first stop was not the affected areas, but the “Rubezh” memorial zone on the border of the Lelchytsy and Zhytkavichy districts, the press service of the head of the Homel region reported.

There, Kruty laid flowers at the memorial sign in honor of the soldiers-liberators. Kruty was also given a tour, during which he was told about the partisan movement, occupation, and Operation Bagration.

After the tour, Kruty was shown some of the consequences of the hurricane wind.

A powerful hurricane hit the cities and villages of Belarus over the weekend. More than 100 thousand people were left without power and water for several days, and several people died.
