Surgeon Andrei Lyubetski Transferred To Zhodzina Prison

The decision was made by “judge” Pavel Kartsinin.

On June 26, the case of replacing Andrei Lyubetski's confinement regime with a prison one was considered in Babruisk. Judge Pavel Kartsinin ruled to transfer the political prisoner to prison until the end of his term, writes the human rights center “Viasna”.

Andrei Lyubetski was detained on May 4, 2021. In April 2022, Judge Sviatlana Charapanava sentenced the doctor to five years in prison. He was charged under four articles of the Criminal Code. He served his sentence in Babruisk Colony #2.

Andrei Lyubetski is a doctor who worked for 18 years in Children's Hospital # 4 in Minsk as a jaw surgeon. After the 2020 elections, he volunteered near the Akrestina detention center. The political prisoner is married and has four children.
