UK Defence Secretary: Ukraine May Use Storm Shadow Missiles In Russia
JOHN HEALY

And against targets in Crimea.

UK Defence Secretary John Healy said that Ukraine may use Storm Shadow missiles against Russian territory. This is reported by The Telegraph (translated by “Unian”).

According to the Minister, the provision of missiles “does not preclude” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky from using them for hitting targets in the aggressor country.

As Healy said, the UK will allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles for defensive strikes against targets in Russia.

As is known, the UK government has previously allowed Kyiv to use Storm Shadows against targets in the Crimea and on the Ukrainian mainland.

“We’re providing weapons to Ukraine for their defence of their sovereign country. And that does not preclude them hitting targets in Russia. But that must be done by the Ukrainians, it must be done within the parameters and the bounds of international humanitarian law,” Mr Healey said.

Asked whether Mr Zelensky can hit where Russian missiles are coming from, the Cabinet minister said “these are complex questions” and insisted he would not “discuss the details of those sorts of things in public”.

“We are continuing very intense discussions with the Ukrainians because we as a country want to do everything we can to support Ukraine’s effort to fight for their freedom,” the official underlined.
