Are Vitebsk Locals Hunting Police?

Dozens of cases were reported to the courts.

Residents of the Vitebsk region continue to beat up police officers or threaten them, writes the “Vitebsk, I’m Walking” Telegram channel.

Since the beginning of the year, the courts of the Vitebsk region have received cases against at least 45 people accused under Articles 363, 366, and more often 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

All their names are at the disposal of the editors of the Telegram channel.

The listed articles are about resistance to police officers, as well as violence against them or officials performing official duties.

At least 38 people in the region have been tried under Article 364 (Violence or threat of violence against a police officer) since the beginning of the year.
