Ukrainian Intelligence Reports About Derailed Tourist Season In Crimea

Russians massively cancel tourist trips to the temporarily occupied Crimea, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhen Yerin, said on air the TV broadcast.

“Most of all canceled tours are now recorded in the city of Sevastopol. And, in general, it is up to 30% of canceled tours for June in Crimea. As for whose merit it is - yes, it is the merit of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as the “merit” of the Russian air defense,” said Yerin.

The day before, the mass cancelation of tours to the temporarily occupied Crimea was also reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. They noted that one of the reasons is the vulnerable illegal Kerch Bridge, which remains the main artery for so-called tourism from Russia and is used by Moscow for military logistics.

This is not the first time such a trend has occurred. For example, in the summer of 2023, the annexed peninsula became the only destination in the Russian Federation where they reduced prices for tourists, offered discounts and bonuses. However, even this did not help to attract tourists.
