Another Boss From Mazyr Refinery On Trial

Again for "extremism".

Another administrative case appeared in the schedule of the court of the Mazyr district on charges of "distribution of information products included in the republican list of extremist materials" (Part 2 of Art. 19.11 of the Administrative Code of Belarus). Head of the Department of Social Development and Corporate Aesthetics of the Mazyr Oil Refinery Lilia Drahel will appear before the court.

There is no doubt that the head of the MNPZ will not be judged — Cyber Partisans confirmed to Flagshtok that there is only one person in the Mazyr district with such a name, surname and patronymic.

The process is scheduled for July 24. Currently, the name of the boss remains among the senior staff on the MNPZ website.

Previously, she worked as the head of the Editorial and Publishing Department of the Mazyr Refinery. Lilia Drahel has repeatedly participated in election campaigns: she was deputy chairman of the election commission — at least in 2016 and 2019 (elections of deputies to the House of Representatives), she was present at the precinct election commission in 2018 (elections to local councils).

Her husband Ihar Drahel also works at the Mazyr Refinery — the head of the Legal Service, and in 2023 he was once again re-elected Chair of the Supervisory Board of the enterprise.

According to the workers, they do not like the Drahel family very much and call them "opportunists", they believe that they behave like "kings".
