Major Fire In Moscow

A Ka-32 helicopter poured water on a high-rise building for several hours.

An 8-story building was burning on Molodezhnaya Street in Moscow on the night of July 24. The area of the fire was 2,000 square meters.

A 7th-floor apartment caught fire first, and then the fire spread to the attic. This is reported by Russian media, Channel 24 reports.

The area of the fire in the eight-story building was initially 200 square meters, and then increased to 2,000. Smoke from the fire was visible from a distance of several kilometers.

More than 150 firefighters and 46 units of equipment worked at the scene. In addition, Moscow brought in aviation to extinguish the fire — water was poured from a Ka-32 helicopter.

The exact causes of the fire are still unknown. As of now, the open fire has already been extinguished.

Traffic along Molodezhnaya Street from Nikolay Kopernik Street to Leninsky Prospekt is still blocked. Interestingly, the Bolshoi Moscow Circus and several hospitals are located 200 meters away.

Local rescuers pulled four residents out of the fire. 30 people from neighboring apartments on different floors evacuated themselves.

There is no information about victims.
