Three Russian ‘Shaheds’ Disappear In Romania During Attack In Odesa Region

The Ukrainian Air Forces have disclosed the details.

On the night of July 25, Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs, which were launched from the territory of occupied Crimea and the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian Air Forces said that several Russian ‘Shaheds’ flew into the territory of Romania and disappeared there.

‘This night the enemy used 38 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs, attacking Ukrainian infrastructure in several directions, in particular - the south of Odesa region and central regions of Ukraine. As a result of the anti-air battle, 25 strike UAVs were shot down. Another three ‘Shaheds’ were locally lost after crossing the state border with Romania,' stated the report.

It is noted that the anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare units of the Air Force, as well as units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled the air attack.

Izmail District Under Attack Again

The Odesa City State Administration reported that for the second night in a row the Russian Armed Forces resorted to shelling of the south of Odesa Region. Izmail district was under attack again.

‘The Russians attacked the border area with attack drones. As a result of shelling, the administrative building was partially destroyed with subsequent fire. Employees of the State emergency service promptly eliminated the fire,' informed the Chairman of the Odesa city state administration Oleg Kiper.

He added that 2 people were injured by falling debris on a private house. One person was hospitalised in a medium severity condition.

In particular, local public pages say that the attack damaged a residential five-storey building in one part of the city, where windows were blown out and the stairwell and facade were partially destroyed.

Three women were injured, including a 69-year-old woman who suffered burns to approximately 6 per cent of her face and hands. Another 49-year-old female resident suffered 15 per cent burns to her face and hands. And a 63-year-old female resident suffered 5% burns to her forearm. All of them immediately received the necessary medical attention at the scene, two of them required hospitalisation.

In total, this night the air defence was working in Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
