Why Obama Did Not Endorse Harris

Former president Barack Obama hasn’t endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris’ presidential bid because he doesn’t think she can beat Republican hopeful Donald Trump. The New York Post (NYP) writes about this, citing a source close to the Biden family.

“Obama’s very upset because he knows she [Harris] can’t win. He knows she’s just incompetent,” the source told The Post.

According to the NYP source, Harris “cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her”, “cannot debate”, and “is going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine.”

Obama was “shocked” by Biden's decision to endorse Harris. “Obama is “furious,” things haven’t gone his way, which is why he is not joining in the Democratic Party’s support of Harris,” the Biden source added.

As the NYP source notes, Obama expected that after Biden's resignation, the main candidate from the Democratic Party would be Arizona Senator and former astronaut Mark Kelly.
