Sikorski On Permission For Ukrainian Armed Forces To Strike Russia With Western Weapons: Drop Wears Stone Away

The head of the Polish MFA is convinced that Ukraine will receive full permission to strike Russia.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski is convinced that over time, Ukraine will receive full permission to strike Russian territory with Western weapons. This is reported by RMF24.

“A drop wears away the stone,” Sikorski emphasized, commenting on the discussion among the allies regarding permission for Ukraine to strike Russia with Western weapons.

“We have already had many such discussions. About Leopard, about Western equipment in general, about the F-16. And today we are discussing whether Ukraine is allowed to shoot down Russian cruise missiles in advance that are flying towards their children's hospitals. In my opinion, Ukraine has the right and should be able to shoot down planes and attack the airfields from which they take off,” the head of the Polish MFA noted.

Asked whether Western politicians are still afraid of what Putin will do if NATO allows Ukraine to do more, Sikorski said: “No”.

“I don't see Putin holding back. Except that he hasn't used nuclear weapons yet, I think he will use everything he has. Including giant bombs that he uses to destroy civilian settlements. All the atrocities he is capable of are already being used on the battlefield,” he concluded.
