IDF Recovers Bodies Of Five Hostages From Gaza

All of them were killed during the attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have returned the bodies of five hostages from the Gaza Strip to the country. The IDF announced this on its social media on Thursday, July 25.

The IDF said that the operation to evacuate the bodies took place on Wednesday, July 24. It was carried out by Israeli army soldiers together with Shin Bet agents. All of the hostages whose bodies were returned home were killed during the attack on October 7 and were taken to the Gaza Strip already dead.

The IDF statement noted that the bodies of the hostages were found in a tunnel about 20 meters below the humanitarian zone in the Khan Yunis area in the southern part of the Strip. “This is yet another example of how Hamas cynically exploited a humanitarian zone and used it to hold captive Israelis killed and kidnapped on October 7,” the statement said.
