The U.S. Has $2 Billion More To Provide Ukraine With Weapons

The Pentagon has corrected an accounting mistake.

The U.S. Department of Defence has found a mistake in its calculations of ammunition, missiles and other weapons. After it is corrected, Ukraine can get an additional $2 billion in aid.

The publication notes that the vague definition of cost in the Foreign Assistance Act and the lack of specific guidance on assessment led to a discrepancy in the reported cost of military aid.

However, the corrected error will allow them to send additional weapons worth $2 billion to Ukraine.
