Ukrainian Missile Attack On Khalino Air Base In Russian Kursk Region

On the night of July 30, it was noisy in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, which Ukrainian missiles could hit. The explosions were heard near the Khalino air base and near the settlements along the missile course.
Acting Governor Alexey Smirnov wrote about the causes of the air alarm over Kursk on Telegram.
Smirnov published a message with the results of the night incident at 06:23. The Russian official said that the Kursk region was under attack by four allegedly "Ukrainian missiles". According to him, the air defence forces worked over two districts — Oktyabr and Kurchatov (west of the regional center). The wreckage of unknown objects fell to the ground and the Russians were asked not to touch them, the official wrote.
The first reports of loud sounds in Kursk appeared online at 04:02. The Typical Kursk local Telegram channel wrote that it was "loud" and an air alert was announced a minute later because of the "missile danger". After that, the next loud sounds were in the villages of Lgovo (70 km from Ukraine) and in the city of Kurchatov (102 km). The following reports talk about the possible operation of air defence systems and the fall of debris in the area of the airport in Kursk and in local courtyards.
In the videos published on the Telegram channels of Kursk and Astra, you can hear loud sounds in the sky and the activation of a car alarm as a result of a blast wave. The recording of the surveillance camera recorded the time of a single explosion — 04:00 (Moscow time).
On Google maps, you can see how far Ukrainian missiles had to fly to the target (if the missile attack took place) — almost 150 km to the Khalino air base (along the line through Lgov and Kurchatov). Russian military aircraft MiG-29SMT, Su-30SM are based at the airfield, and the Air Command in reports indicates that it is from this region that aircraft and missiles are launched, with which the Russians are shooting at the Ukrainians. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the civil airport located next to Khalino has stopped accepting flights, the Russian media wrote.
The Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation did not write a word about the night attack of the Ukrainian Defence Forces on military facilities on Russian territory. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the events of July 30 and the possibility of using Ukrainian missiles.
