'Russian Army Is Trapped There'

The Ukrainian colonel explained where the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would begin.

The Russian army in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea is actually "trapped". The liberation of Ukraine should begin from the southern direction, including the de-occupation of Crimea.

The process of de-occupation can occur remotely. This opinion was expressed in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA by pilot-instructor, Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military expert Roman Svitan.

According to the expert, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has probably developed a plan for the liberation of the occupied territories, which may include the following sequence of actions: "the deployment of defensive lines on the eastern and northern fronts, as well as the development of offensive actions on the southern front towards Crimea."

Svitan stated that this is an “optimal strategy” that “takes into account the location of the front, the availability of personnel, forces and means on each side.”

The colonel stressed that Crimea has for Russia a huge not only purely military, but also political significance, and its loss could be a catastrophe for the Kremlin regime.

“For Russians, Crimea is a piece of cake. There, the Russian army is really locked in a geographically. Death of Koshchej – Putin's death is in Crimea. After the liberation of Crimea, Russia will begin to fall apart. Putin will definitely fall of his chair," he said.

According to the expert, the best option for the liberation of the peninsula is remote. To implement it, the Defence Forces need "long-range weapons, a missile component."
