Large-Scale Fire At Plant Producing Electronics For Rockets In Russia

The roof has collapsed, the walls are falling.

A large-scale fire broke out at the NPO Avtomatiki plant in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Among other things, this company produces electronics for rockets.

This was reported by Russian media outlets Meduza, Sirena, and RIA Novosti.

The NPO Avtomatiki plant caught fire today, July 30. Note that the plant produces control systems for space rockets.

According to Russian media, a chemical production workshop is burning, and the roof and walls of the building have begun to collapse. The area of the fire is 1,000 square meters and is expanding.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the roof of the workshop has already collapsed over an area of 500 square meters.

Russians report that acrid smoke fumes are currently spreading across the city. The smoke is visible from all corners of Yekaterinburg.
