Russians Leaving Crimea In Hurry

An AFU colonel has pointed to signs of the occupants' flight.

After successful strikes of the AFU on military facilities of the Russians in the occupied Crimea, the invaders are moving some forces and resources deep into the peninsula. Thus, the enemy is preparing for Ukraine to gain air superiority, military expert, colonel in the AFU reserve and flight instructor Roman Svitan told Channel 24.

According to him, Crimea is a geographical operational mousetrap and it is impossible to keep it safe from the troops that are advancing from the mainland. It is only a matter of time before the occupiers are defeated and destroyed.

‘The only global way out for the Russians is to leave Crimea, as the Black Sea Fleet has already done. It is the withdrawal of the Black Sea Fleet from Crimea that is a precursor to the actions that will happen to the Russian army and Russian citizens who are now in Crimea,’ Svitan is convinced.

According to him, Russian aviation will leave the peninsula first, followed by air defence, ground troops and civilian occupants. He is convinced that now there is a second wave of withdrawal, which covers the air defence.

‘This is not a strengthening of the Kerch direction, they are just trying to get out from under the blow. Practically releasing the territory, realising that all locators on the west coast - they will be destroyed,’ explained the expert.

He added that this will open military facilities of the invaders, on which the Ukrainian Defence Forces can work further. According to Svitan, these waves of withdrawal will last from several months to a year.

He also commented on the explosions in Kursk. There the Ukrainians hit an airfield, which the Russians used as a tactical one. In particular, air defence systems and surface-to-air missile systems were placed on it.

‘Probably, after reconnaissance activities, it was decided to launch a missile strike, because it is better to strike the aerodrome precisely with missiles. We have our own missiles - the very same ‘Neptunes’ with a range of up to 300 kilometres. This is also the range of ‘Olkha’,’ the reserve colonel added.
