Security forces have raided the Moldovan parliament. The investigation is being carried out by the Information and Security Service (ISS) together with the prosecutor's office for combating organized crime, ISS press secretary Daniela Manzat told Radio Liberty.

She specified that this is related to a certain criminal case and promised to provide details later. Information about the searches was also confirmed by Emil Gaitur, a representative of the Prosecutor's Office.

According to the publication's sources in the ISS, an investigation is being conducted against the head of the parliament's legal department, a member of the ruling party "Action and Solidarity" (PAS) Ion Creanga in a case of espionage. The sources note that he was caught red-handed while passing information to employees of the Russian embassy in Chisinau.
