On Wednesday, July 3, Belarus presented allegedly domestic drones similar to Iranian Shahed at the "independence parade" in Minsk. This development was called "Nomad" in the country. This is reported by Army Recognition.
As the publication notes, at least four drones were being carried on SUVs during the parade. The publication believes that this demonstrates the ability of Belarus to "ensure mobility and readiness for deploying the so-called "Nomads".
The journalists add that Lukashenka's regime has previously tried to purchase off-the-shelf drones from Iran and acquire technology for domestic UAV production.
"The mentioning by the announcer [commentator of the parade broadcast] of these drones as Geran -2 and the new domestic development suggests possible localised production in cooperation with Iranian or Russian specialists," the publication suggests.
