Why Did Putin's Press Service Publish Shocking Photos Of Lukashenka?

The Kremlin seems to hint that the Belarusian dictator will die first.

Photos of Aliaksandr Lukashenka from a recent trip to Valaam, which were published by Putin's press service, exposed the fatal condition of the Belarusian dictator and put him in an unfavorable perspective.

But these pictures are good for Putin, analyst Aliaksandr Friedman noted on the air of the "Ordinary Morning" YouTube show.

"I suppose that was the reason for publishing. Against the background of Lukashenka, Putin looks very good," the analyst notes.

Friedman gives an example from the history of the East Germany (GDR). In the 1970s and 1980s, Hermann Axen, a functionary of the Socialist United Party of Germany, was quite influential, responsible, among other things, for ideology and relations with socialist countries.

“He didn't look really smart. Among the dissidents of the GDR, he had the nickname "flattened jellyfish". GDR functionaries of the high echelon made sure that he stood next to them in the official photos, as they believed that against the background of Axen they looked especially smart.

I think this is the same: "Against the background of this guy, I look good enough, cheerful, wonderful. Look at the contrast.” I think it goes into people's minds and stays there.”

Recall that in an interview on the YouTube channel of the famous Russian journalist Yevgeny Kiselev, Natallia Radzina, the Editor-in-Chief of the Charter97.org website, assessed the state of Lukashenka's health on the island of Valaam, where he met with Putin, as critical. According to her, Lukashenka is in a terrible state of health. Perhaps the Belarusian dictator is using steroids or hormones.
