Defence Intelligence Fighters Sank Russian ‘Tunets’ Speedboat In Crimea

The vessel was hit by a MAGURA V5 sea drone.

On August 9, Ukrainian intelligence officers destroyed the Russian speedboat “Tunets” in the Crimea. It was hit by a MAGURA V5 sea drone.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reports this.

“On the night of August 8-9, near the settlement of Chornomorske in the temporarily occupied Crimea, soldiers of the special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine “Group 13” with the help of a MAGURA V5 strike sea drone destroyed another vessel of the Russian occupiers — a speedboat of the KS 701 project “Tunets” type,” the report says.

As the intelligence officers note, as a result of the operation, three more watercraft of the invaders were also damaged. Their type is being established.

Not the first case

The Defence Intelligence says that this is not the first “Tunets” destroyed off the coast of the peninsula. Before this, two Russian “Tunets” reconnaissance aircraft were destroyed, and two more were damaged in May of this year.

The invaders used the high-speed transport and landing craft of the KS 701 project in the occupied Crimea to patrol the waters and for logistics.

In total, 18 Russian vessels were successfully hit with the help of Ukrainian-made MAGURA V5 sea drones, 9 of the hit vessels were destroyed.
