Media: Mikalai Lukashenka’s Dean Fired

Over the past few years, the BSU Biology Faculty has lost many valuable specialists.

The dean of the BSU Biology Faculty, Vadzim Dziamidchyk, was presumably dismissed several months ago. Recently, his name was removed from the biology faculty website, which lists the employees of the dean's office. It was this faculty that Mikalai Lukashenka entered several years ago.

It is unknown why Dziamidchyk was fired. However, the biology faculty cites the following possible reason: now the former dean was not active enough in dismissing faculty employees for political reasons, writes Nasha Niva.

And this is despite the fact that over the past few years, the biology faculty has lost many valuable specialists. For example, the botany department suffered greatly as several of its experienced teachers were dismissed for ideological reasons.

Vadzim Dziamidchyk headed the BSU Biology Faculty in March 2019. Many students and graduates of the biology department took part in the protests, some of them became political prisoners — for example, Yahor Kanetski, one of the defendants in the “student case” and an activist of the Free Trade Union.
