Russians reported a massive attack.
On the night of Sunday, August 11, the Kursk region of the Russian Federation was restless. The residents reported a massive missile attack, and explosions in Kursk and Kurchatov, a fire broke out in the regional center due to the work of Russian air defence, Obozrevatel.
Acting Governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov reported "the work of air defence".
Kursk
A whole series of loud explosions were heard in Kursk. Eyewitnesses reported the destruction of air targets over the city.
It did not go very well — a missile shot down by Russian air defence fell on a residential building, a fire broke out there, Smirnov confirmed.
Several cars also caught fire beforehand. At the moment, at least 13 victims are known, two of them are in serious condition.
Residents of other houses reported that the explosions caused plaster to fall from their apartments.
Russian "war correspondents" reported that Kursk was shelled with multiple launch rocket systems and that Russian air defense allegedly shot down more than 10 targets, including missiles and UAVs.
Kurchatov
Residents of a satellite city of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant also complained about a series of loud explosions.
Voronezh
Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said that UAV debris fell on the region's territory. The official complained that damage to an administrative building and a public utility facility was recorded in the regional center.
"According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Damage data is being clarified. The UAV attack threat regime in the region remains. Work on enemy roads continues. The operational situation is under control," the Voronezh governor wrote.
