Ukrainian Border Guards Preparing For 'Any Situations' On Border With Belarus

The Belarusian regime is "creating a picture".

Ukrainian border guards are still not recording any build-up or movement of Belarusian troops near the border with Belarus. This was stated by the speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, on the air of the TV marathon on August 12.

"Lukashenka's statement - it's playing along with Russia. More than once there has been such a thing that they talk about some kind of build-up of forces. Then they withdraw these forces from the direction towards the Ukrainian border - they say they no longer see the threat. This is another attempt of information influence. I do not rule out that they will be forced to move equipment and personnel - in small numbers - in order to create a picture. But it will go deep into the territory of Belarus," Demchenko was quoted by NV.

The speaker of the State Border Service also said that although there is no movement or build-up of Belarusian troops near the border, the situation remains difficult.

"Given that Belarus remains in the sphere of influence of the terrorist country Russia, the threat in this direction does not finally disappear. And we must be ready for any situation in any direction," Demchenko said.
