According to the dictator, Kyiv wants to improve its negotiating positions and split Russian society.
The main goal of the military operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Kursk region is an attempt to stop the Russian army's advance in Donbas, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said on Monday, August 12, at an operational meeting with the leadership of the Russian security forces.
At the same time, according to Putin, against the backdrop of what is happening in the Kursk region, the pace of offensive operations of the Russian Armed Forces along the entire front line “not only did not decrease, but on the contrary, increased by one and a half times”.
Among other goals of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive, the Russian dictator outlined an attempt to “sow discord in society and intimidate people”, as well as Kyiv's desire to strengthen its negotiating positions.
