Alexander Shmatkov resigned from his post “voluntarily”.
Alexander Shmatkov, who was acting head of the Kursk Region Administration, voluntarily resigned from his post, the regional authorities reported on their Telegram channel.
They specified that he resigned due to his appointment to the post of deputy head of the Federal Road Agency.
Shmatkov headed the administration under the previous governor Roman Starovoit, who left this post in May 2024 and became the Minister of Transport of Russia.
Alexander Krylov, the former acting first deputy head of the municipality, has been appointed to replace the head of the administration.
