The regional level emergency situation regime is introduced on the territory of the entire Belgorod region (RF) from today, August 14. Local authorities explain it by the difficult security situation due to the war.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The Russian official released a corresponding video message on his Telegram in the morning.
According to him, the situation in the region "continues to be very complicated and tense."
The Russian official complained about "daily shelling" by the AFU, and said that there were "destroyed houses, wounded, dead civilians" in Belgorod region.
He also said that a regional-level emergency regime was being declared throughout the region in order to "provide additional protection for the population, additional support measures for the victims."
Besides, the governor will initiate a further appeal to the government commission with a request to declare a state of emergency in Belgorod region at the federal level as well.
