Heavy Street Fighting Underway: Ukrainian Forces Expand Their Bridgehead In Kursk Region

The Ukrainian military entered the village of Kamyshnoye, located south of Sudzha.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have expanded their bridgehead in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, capturing four more villages.

This is the conclusion reached by BILD open data analysis expert Julian Röpcke after studying video recordings of the fighting in the Kursk region. According to him, north of Sudzha, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured the village of Kruglenkoye and its surroundings.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were advancing in that area in the direction of the regional center of Korenevo.

“The Ukrainian military has captured Kruglenkoye in the Kursk region in western Russia. Russian troops are attacking moving Ukrainian columns with the Smerch cluster MLRS north of the village,” the analyst noted.

South of Sudzha, the Ukrainian military entered the village of Kamyshnoye, where heavy street fighting was underway. On the way to Kamyshnoye, the Ukrainians took the villages of Borki and Krupets, as well as the village of Spalnoye.

“There’s heavy fighting in Kamyshnoye, a group of 14 Ukrainian soldiers started fighting with the Russian troops, who destroyed the buildings they were using. This means that Borki and Spalnoye are also under the control of the Ukrainian army. The current front line in the east is slowly forming,” Röpcke noted.
