Ukrainian Intelligence Made Statement About Belarus

And addressed Ukrainian citizens.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine calls on its compatriots not to visit Belarus, which supports Russian aggression.

According to Ukrainian intelligence officers, Ukrainians may face the following dangers when traveling to Belarus:

— filtration measures: Ukrainians are interrogated about the purpose of their visit, their personal data is collected, their political views are found out, etc.;

— analysis of personal phones: they are connected to specialized “forensic software” to collect all the information from Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp and other messengers. Ukrainian intelligence notes that the program allows you to restore and copy even deleted dialogues. The information received threatens the owner of the phone with detention and criminal prosecution, since it is unknown how the Belarusian side uses it;

— if there is information or data transfer that the Belarusian authorities consider sensitive, they are either deported from the country or accused of extremism, which is punishable by criminal liability:

— citizens of Ukraine in Belarus, as well as in Russia, are closely monitored by special services and the police.

Ukrainian intelligence warns fellow citizens that their rights may be violated at any time in Belarus.
