Belarusian Second-Hand Shops Are Over

The country's Foreign Ministry reacted strangely to the EU decision.

The European Union recently adopted a new package of sanctions. Among them is a ban on the supply of used clothing, or "second-hand", from the EU.

According to expert estimates, until now the share of "second-hand" goods in the total volume of clothing consumption was about 35%. They were sold at retail by about 2.800 retail outlets, including online stores.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry reacted strangely to the EU decision, stating that these sanctions are "for the good of the country".
