Russian Opposition Politician Alexei Navalny's Death Version Has Been Named Officially

This is a very “convenient” diagnosis for the Kremlin.

This follows from the ruling on the refusal to initiate a case on the death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny.

It was published by the politician’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya. The ruling, in particular, states that Navalny’s death “is not criminal in nature.” The cause was allegedly a “combined disease,” and death occurred as a result of arrhythmia.

The document reads that Navalny’s death is arrhythmogenic in nature, manifested in a disturbance of the rhythm and conduction of the heart. The trigger was a critical increase in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis). The myocardial edema that arose against this background, together with diffuse cardiosclerosis, caused the rhythm disturbance. Filtration edema and swelling of the brain caused the development of acute hypertensive encephalopathy, which could manifest itself in the form of headaches, heart pain, vomiting, and the development of seizures.

As Yulia Navalnaya notes, a heart rhythm disorder cannot be determined posthumously, and Alexei did not have any heart diseases during his life.

Alexei Navalny died in the Severny Volk prison on February 16, 2024, at the age of 46.
